Judge Cory Don Sepolio of Harris County has ordered the Galleria Food Truck Park to shut down in Houston through a temporary restraining order. This move comes after community complaints that the site was both a public nuisance and a center for criminal activity, according to a report by Yahoo! News.

The city complains that the food truck park was often open until 4 a.m., which led to illegal gambling and increased food traffic. Other complaints include a drive-by shooting in August 2023, vandalism in October 2024 and health code violations.

The city also plans to file a permanent injunction to shut down the food truck park for good.

Owner Catherine Mehrinfar said she doesn't plan to fight the city lawsuit.
