The Greater Pittsburgh Food Truck Festival is back on in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the fifth year.

The annual event was cancelled last year due to the pandemic. It will take place July 16 through July 18 at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino, which is a co-sponsor of the event, according to an Observer-Reporter report. The media company is also a sponsor for the festival.

"We're really excited to hold this again," Carole DeAngelo, advertising director of the O-R, said in the news report. "Everyone in the community has been asking whether we're going to have the Food Truck Festival. The community is ready for it."

The event, which will feature nearly three dozen trucks and 30 vendors, has traditionally taken place on the Memorial Day weekend but pushed into July to allow for greater vaccination in the area.

Hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday; noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday and the event will also include family-focused activities.
