The Crossroads Community Association has announced a fee increase for participation in the First Fridays food truck event in Kansas City, Missouri. Additionally, the association has set aside a designated area for food trucks beginning Aug. 3, according to Fox4kc.
Earlier this month, food truck owners were told they would have to pay a $125 fee. On Friday, they received notice that the fee would be $200. The notice said that the fee will decline during slower months.
The designated area lies between Grand and Baltimore avenues downtown. The association said it will coordinate trash pickup and oversee other issues to ensure a satisfactory experience.
Food truck owners interviewed by Fox4kc said they were unable to reach of anyone at the association to get more information about the fee increase.
The association did not return the station's requests for comment.
