Kauai home to Battle of the Food Trucks event

A Battle of the Food Trucks event will take place on Sept. 11, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., in Kauai, Hawaii.

The one-day competition, run by the Hawaii Tourism Authority and Kauai Visitors Bureau, will feature local cuisine and will include live music, according to a KITV ABC 4 report.

Food trucks will vie for the honor of Best Kauai Food Truck of 2022. Tickets are $75 and $100 for VIP access.

"Food is at the center of our community and bringing everyone together around the table is one of the best ways to support each other," Addison Bulosan, president of Rice Street Business Association, told the news outlet. "By supporting our local food trucks, local farmers and local producers, we are building a stronger, sustainable local food system for all of us."
