December 16, 2019

Covington, Kentucky is considering new rules for food trucks, according to a report in The River City News.

A proposed ordinance would permit mobile food vending operations to operate in city-owned parking areas and public rights-of-way on Philadelphia Street in Mainstrasse Village between Seventh and Fourth streets; on Seventh Street between Madison Avenue and Washington Street (near Braxton Brewing Company); at the city-owned lot at Bill Cappel Sports Complex in Latonia; on Southern Avenue between Caroline Avenue and Church Street in Latonia; and on Main Street between West 11th Street to Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. near the Kenton County government building.

Food trucks would be allowed to operate between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., and set up in designated areas prior to 5:30 a.m. and be required to depart by 10:30 p.m.

Annual permits would be $500 and would be adjusted yearly.
