Laid-off chef launches taco truck in forging new career path

Ely Flores lost his chef role at a Bay Area eatery due to COVID-19, but it hasn't stopped him from pursuing his culinary passion in the community of San Francisco, California.

The 17-year Richmond resident, Flores, 25, has launched the Red Rooster Taco Truck that is now serving taco lovers at 4325 Macdonald Avenue. It's open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., according to The Richmond Standard.
