Carolina Beach, North Carolina, has abolished a law that restricted food trucks to brick and mortar restaurants after a group of food truck owners and the Institute for Justice filed a lawsuit calling for the law to be struck down, according to the Independent Tribune. The law also restricted food trucks to restaurants that have been in business for more than a year.
The town council repealed the law seven days after the lawsuit was filed on Aug. 21. The council also voted to discuss how to regulate the food truck industry.
