The city council of Lebanon, New Hampshire are revisiting food truck rules due to traffic concerns and lack of parking spaces near Colburn Park. There are four food trucks with permits to operate on South Park Street, but these trucks would take up all 30 parking spaces on the south side of Colburn Park. Initially city staff placed the food trucks on opposite sides of South Park Street, but some council members have argued this causes congestion and obstructed views, according to a report by Valley News.

"I was very surprised to see the food trucks appear on the (opposite) side of the street there," Councilor Karen Liot Hill, said in the report. "In the last couple of weeks, I have heard significant concerns from people throughout the city."

Residents have also complained about an increase in pedestrians and poor visibility. In addition, due to the positioning of the food truck service windows, customers must approach from the street side, which puts them close to moving traffic.

The council is considering a number of solutions such as moving some of the food trucks to other locations.
