Loli's Streatery, a Tex-Mex food truck, announced it will open a physical restaurant in Corpus Christi, Texas. The food truck itself has gained recognition in the city for its dishes such as its asada corn bowls, according to a report by Kris 6 News.
"A lot of the ingredients and a lot of the recipes are from our family members. We have a grandmother [whose] name was Loli — well, that was her nickname. So, that's why we named the truck 'Loli's Streatery.' But she was always in the kitchen, she was always cooking, she was always baking, and she was just so good at it," Sabrina Lozano, co-owner, Loli's Streatery, said in the report.
Lozano hopes to have the restaurant open by spring. Alyssa Barrera Mason, executive director of Downtown Management District hopes this will grow the culinary scene in the area.
"We're always looking to grow the culinary options in the downtown area. Something that really defines a downtown is how many unique places are there to eat," Mason said in the report.
