Louisiana city council strikes food truck ordinance proposal

The Donaldsonville City Council, in Louisiana, voted against an ordinance that would have set rules for mobile food truck operations.

The vote was 3-2 and opposition was tied to concerns of how food trucks would impact city restaurants, according to a Donaldsonville Chief report.

If approved, the ordinance would have regulated allowable location, permit requirements, fees and fines.
