An advisory committee has decided against a proposed plan to give Louisville city officials more power to restrict food trucks, according to a MSN.com report.
The public works committee, following months of discussion, voted against a proposed ordinance giving directors of public works, metro parks or codes and regulations the authority to restrict food trucks in certain areas for reasons of health and safety. The law also would have restricted the number of parking spots for food trucks.
The proposal has been sent to the city council with a recommendation for denial.
