Lunchtime Food Truck Rallies continue in Urbana, Illinois

June 16, 2017

Lunchtime Food Truck Rallies are being held every last Tuesday of the month until the end of October outside of the Urbana Civic Center in Urbana, Illinois, according to The Daily Illini, the student newspaper at the University of Illinois.

The events have no admission fee and take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The next rally will be on June 27, with the following food trucks: The Empanadas House; Chester's BBQ; Dragon Fire Pizza; Fusilli Tony's; Caribbean Grill; The Snack Shack; Piato To Go; and The Pop Stop.

The city community development department has hosted the Food Truck Rally since 2015, when it sold out after hundreds showed up and the trucks did not bring enough food.
