Malaysian business groups seek to organize world’s largest food truck event

Star Media Group, a Malaysian media company, has partnered with the SME Mobile Truck Association in the hope of creating the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Mobile Truck Rally, to be held in March, according to a report in The Star.

The SME Mobile Truck Revolution 2020 event will be March 21 and 22 at the Bukit Jalil Stadium open carpark. 

The goal of the event is to encourage food truck entrepreneurship in Malaysia and to promote the business as an option for young graduates, said Datuk Wira Jalilah Baba, SMEMTA president. The event is expected to draw more than 300 trucks and more than 150,000 visitors.

To qualify for the Guinness World Record, the operators must cook the food in the trucks.
