Massachusetts town loosens food truck restrictions

September 15, 2017

Hudson, Massachusetts has expanded its regulated food truck area, according to The Metrowest Daily News.

The town last September passed a temporary measure preventing food trucks from parking on public property on Main Street, citing competition with downtown restaurants, potential safety hazards and the impact on downtown parking.

Food trucks are now permitted to operate between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

The trucks are allowed to operate on private property in the regulated zone with the permission of the property owner.

Operation outside the regulated area requires an annual food truck license.
