May 30 marks 1st food truck festival in Fond Du Lac

The first-ever Fondy Food Truck Festival in Fond du Lac, in Wisconsin, will take place Sunday, May 30 on Oven Island.
The event evolved from an effort to boost family-friendly events and food trucks are top of the list in resident recommendations, according to a FDL Reporter report.
The event is being sponsored by the Friends of Lakeside Park and the Fox Valley Food Truck Association and will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free attendance.
"We want to demonstrate how food can be served at the park in an environment that doesn't leave a lasting footprint," organizer Amy Schingen told the news outlet.
Participating trucks include Vincent's Smokehouse barbecue, Zous fresh eggrolls, On the Fritz comfort foods, Los Tres Manantiales Mexican food, Z's Pizza, Kona Ice, and Ong's Asian.
The event will feature live music as well as a chance to adopt pets from a rescue group.
