42-year old Alton Turner was charged with attempted murder after allegedly driving his car into a food truck at Cordova Pitstop Food Truck Park in Memphis. Turner was angry because the bar next door wouldn't serve him more alcohol, so he got into an altercation with Mark Maughmer, the owner of the food truck park, according to a report by Action News 5.
"He came back over here and got into it with me because they wouldn't serve him," Maughmer said in the report. "And I wanted him to leave. I even called a friend of his and asked him to come get him, but it didn't happen."
The suspect then got into his Ford F-250 and crashed into both an elevated dining area and Maughmer's food truck. When the truck got stuck, Turner kept on riving the engine in an attempt to hit Maughmer and another employee.
Police have charged Turner with two counts of attempted second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
