Mexican fare rules among Tuscon's top 5 food trucks

Mexican tastes run strong in Tucson, as evidenced by the city's top five food trucks, according to Yelp reviews and other factors Hoodline takes into account in evaluating mobile eateries, Yahoo News reported.

El Perro Loco, at 3051 E. 36th St. in Pueblo Gardens, took top honors, boasting five stars out of 24 Yelp reviews. The food truck offers hot dogs and more.

Purple Tree Truck, based at University Of Arizona, was runner up with 4.5 stars out of 42 Yelp reviews, offering ice cream, juices, smoothies and more.

Taco Fish, at 4841 S. 12th Ave., grabbed third place with 4.5 stars out of 43 Yelp reviews, specializing in Mexican fare and seafood.

Percheron, a Mexican food truck at South 12th Avenue and West Irvington Road in Rose, came in fourth place with 4.5 stars out of 27 Yelp reviews. 

Tucson Food Truck Roundup, at 101 W. Sixth St. in El Presidio, came in fifth place with 4.5 stars out of 33 reviews on Yelp.
