Mexican seafood food truck comes to Tri-City area

There is now a Mexican seafood food truck, called La Bahia Mexican Food, at the Columbia Gardens Urban Wine & Artisan Village in Kennewick, Washington, a part of the Tri-City area.

Located in the food truck plaza section, the food truck offers shrimp tortas, fish and shrimp ceviche and the La Bahia Burrito with steak and shrimp, according to a report by Tri-City Herald.

Owner Francisco Mendoza grew up in Caleta, Mexican and learned his recipes from his mother. He was previously a welder but entered the food truck business both to follow his passion and to protect his health from welding gases.

Because seafood food trucks require an extra sink, La Bahia prepares food at the Fiesta Mexican Restaurant as a commissary kitchen.
