Mexico Beach, Florida, aims to update food truck ordinances. This change is driven by Hurricane Michael, which shut down many restaurants and led to many food trucks moving in to fill the gap, according to a report by WJHG.
The ordinance will address food truck parking and appearance requirements. The city aims to protect the beach environment and local businesses.
"It's all about beautification and parking, all those things that have to be done. You just can't let it go loose, and people do what they want. We have to have some rules, and that's what we're doing, certain rules based on after Hurricane Michael, trucks are not going to go away anytime soon," Mayor Richard Wolff said in the report.
