The Bay City Commission, in Michigan, is mulling a food truck ordinance that would include guidelines and regulations for food truck operations within city limits.

The commission met this week to consider an ordinance that would require an annual or daily license and require food truck operators to provide insights on everything from menu to hours and utility use, according to an MLive report.

The proposed rule would also prohibit food trucks from operating within 150 feet of physical restaurant locations during restaurant open hours. That specific space may change given the great number of restaurants in the city, a commission member told the news outlet.
