Michigan food truck is all about the dessert

The Dolce Mini Cakes food truck in Holland, Michigan is all about the sweets.

The truck's menu was born from Dasani Song selling dessert items at a Grand Rapids restaurant, according to a Holland Sentinel report.

From there Song expanded to selling desserts at local events and then launched the food truck with her stepfather, Alfonso Gomez.

"We specialize in desserts," Song told the news outlet. "We focus on mini pancakes and bubble waffles. We offer customers the ability to customize their dessert (with) everything from sweet cereals and M&Ms to fruits and Nutella. They order it and we decorate and build the dessert."

So far, her first year in the food truck world has been successful.

"It's been going really well," she told the news outlet. "We've had so much support from the West Michigan community and people are so excited that we're now in the truck."
