A Michigan organization, Communities First Inc., is striving to raise $50,000 in funding to receive a matching grant for a community revitalization effort in Flint that will include a food truck park.

The funding goal's deadline is Feb. 15 2022. The project will turn a flower shop and lot into a viable community space in Flint's Grand Traverse neighborhood, according to a MLive Michigan report.

The development, called Foodie Commons at the Flow Shop, will include an event space, green space and covered seating area in addition to the food truck park.

If the funding goal is hit the organization can receive a one-to-one matching grant from the state's economic development corporation's Public Spaces Community Places Initiative.
