Michigan restaurant launching food truck

The People's Kitchen, a brunch and dinner eatery in Lansing, Michigan is getting ready to put a food truck on the road.

The restaurant, which opened three years ago off East Michigan Avenue, is using a renovated 1980s van for the mobile enterprise, according to a Lansing State Journal report.

The truck, which will offer the restaurant menu as well as truck-only fare, will be called The People's Kitchen Street Eats and up and running by the end of August, according to General Manager Douglas Mulkey.

"We're looking to maintain the commitment to the scratch kitchen, high-quality ingredients and the best, most delicious food you're going to have," Mulkey told the news outlet.
