Michigan town considers permanent spot for food trucks

March 20, 2018

The Petoskey, Michigan, planning commission has recommended several food truck regulations to the city council. The regulations would be tested during a trial period, according to the News-Review.

Food trucks would be permitted to park at Bayfront Park behind the fire station, on Bayfront Drive and under the Mitchell Street Bridge. Currently food trucks are allowed only in public places in conjunction with a community event.

The commission began examining food truck regulations in October following the success of the inaugural Old Town Emmet Food Truck Rally in September.
