Milwaukee will have its first food truck park at Walker's Point at South Sixth and West Pierce streets, the former site of the pop-up World Cup bar, according to the Milwaukee Journal. The facility will be called Zocalo Food Park.
Sean Phelan of Phelan Development and Jesus O. Gonzalez, founder of Mazorca Tacos, are partners in the project. Mazorca Tacos operates a trailer parked near South First Street at West Pittsburgh Street.
Zocalo, which is a term used in Mexico for a public square, will have space for six food trucks, parking, outdoor seating and a bar. Phelan and Gonzalez filed a Class B liquor license application with the city on Monday.
