Milwaukee's first food truck park opens Saturday

Milwaukee's first food truck park at 636 S. Sixth St. in Walker's Point opens Saturday. The site, called Zocalo, has space for six food trucks as well as parking for customers and outdoor seating for 300 people, according to a Journal Sentinel report. A bar at the site remains under construction, but in the meantime, a bar in the garage will serve beer, cider, hard seltzer and rail drinks.

The trucks will have access to power hookups, a potable water source and a gray water disposal.

The park will be open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays for food, with the bar open until 11 p.m.; 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays for food, with bar until midnight; and 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays for food, with the bar open to 8 p.m.
