Minnesota Vikings launch food truck to feed needy kids

June 14, 2019

The Minnesota Vikings have launched a food truck called Vikings Table to provide healthy meals to disadvantaged kids, according to a fox9.com report. This Vikings Foundation project targets 250,000 kids who don't have sufficient access to daily nutritious meals. One goal is to raise awareness about kids' hunger.

Brett Taber, the foundation's executive director, said the truck will do two distributions during warm weather months in neighborhoods where needy kids live, in addition to weekly distributions in cold weather months. The truck will also show up at Vikings games and other events with a full menu for food to purchase, with proceeds benefiting the free meal program.
