Mississippi town approves food truck regulations

A newly passed law in Saltillo, Mississippi, will require mobile food vehicles to have a state tax number and a $250 license, along with a minimum of $500,000 in liability insurance, according to the Daily Journal. Operating hours will be from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Trucks will be able to stay open later for special events.

The ordinance will take effect Sept. 20.
