Mississippi town explores food truck regulations

August 8, 2019

Lawmakers in Long Beach, Mississippi, cognizant of the growing popularity of food trucks, are exploring ways to regulate food trucks, according to an WLOX-TV report.

On Tuesday, the Board of Aldermen tabled a discussion to its next meeting to learn more about the issue. Restaurant owners have advised lawmakers that food trucks, if permitted, would bring unfair competition. In the meantime, no one has yet applied for a food truck permit.
