Food trucks in Union, Missouri could face stricter requirements under a proposal presented by the city engineer, Jonathan Zimmermann, according to a Missourian.com report.
The proposal, under planning commission review, requires food trucks not to obstruct city streets, sidewalks, alleys, parking spaces or loading zones. Trucks also cannot obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic flow.
In addition, trucks would not be able to operate within 300 feet of an existing restaurant, and they would need written permission from property owners on private property.
