Modesto, California, is on the verge of getting its first dedicated food truck court. Modesto Grub Hubs will provide space and hookups in a formerly vacant lot at the corner of Ninth and G Streets, according to a report in the Modesto Bee.
The brain behind the project is Gregory Reed, president of Reed Properties and G&K Enterprises. Reed owns the 4.5-acre lot and his family is behind several major downtown properties.
The food truck court previously was the longtime home of Vito Trucking and, later, a trucking school.
According to the report, seven potential vendors have made tentative reservations to locate at the site.
