The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, which governs the city of Mumbai, India, plans to allow food trucks to operate 24/7 in designated areas, according to a mid-day.com report. One goal of the plan is to remove hawkers from city streets.
City officials are expected to select commercial and industrial locations where the trucks will not create traffic issues.
Food trucks will be required to have a transport license and will also be licensed by the health department.
