Myrtle Beach lifts in-city commissary requirement for food truck pilot program

January 26, 2018

The city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, has removed its in-city commercial kitchen food preparation requirement for food trucks applying to join a city food truck pilot program, according to the city's Facebook page.

Previously, food trucks had to be associated with a commercial kitchen located within the city limits. Since the restriction has been lifted, food trucks associated with commercial kitchens outside the city can apply.

The city is accepting applications for as many as six food trucks to operate in the city for the 1-year trial program.
