Nashville food truck offers free food to workers furloughed by government shutdown

A Nashville, Tennessee, food truck is offering free burgers today, Thursday, to federal employees who have been affected by the government shutdown, according to newschannel5.com.

Government employees will find the M.L. Rose truck at Street Eats, at 4th Avenue and Deaderick Street downtown, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The first 100 employees to show their ID will receive a free cheeseburger and waffle fries. After the free food is gone, a specially priced $5 combo will be available to affected workers through Jan. 31.
