Nederland, Texas officials have proposed new regulations that would make it easier for food trucks. In particular, it would allow food truck owners to apply for a permit and have their trucks set up all year, as opposed to the previous rule which only allowed temporary or special event permits, according to a report by 12 News.

However, only eight of these permits will be issued yearly and trucks can only park within 200 feet of a restaurant if they have written consent from the owner. Also, the permits will cost $500.

"They can't block parking lots, they can't block traffic so thankfully within 2,000 feet of me there's nowhere that fits that bill," Al Judice, owner of Judice's 1927 said in the report.
