The owners of the Memphis Food Truck Park notified customers on Facebook they are in discussion with people interested in buying the park after announcing plans to close it as of Jan. 1, 2018.
"We will be weighing all of our options in the upcoming weeks in hopes the park is not a lost," the notice stated. "Please stay tuned for our final announcement in the distant future."
Egal Elfezouaty, owner of Aren Investments, converted a former gas station at the southeast corner of Winchester and Old Getwell into a fenced food truck park, according to the Commercial Appeal. The park included space and electrical hookup for 13 trucks, 20 picnic tables with shade, free Wi-Fi and a sound system.
Elfezouaty said getting trucks to come to the park every day was a challenge.
