Nissan demonstrated its zero-emissions, solar-powered ice cream truck at the CES show in Las Vegas today. The ice cream van is powered by solar energy and is part of the company's Intelligent Mobility initiative.
The vehicle, according to a June CNET report, is a modified e-NV200 van which has a battery electric powertrain. To keep the ice cream cold, it uses the Nissan Energy Roaming system that includes a cycled Nissan EV battery.
The ice cream is provided by Mackie's of Scotland, which uses farm and solar energy to make its ice cream.The ice cream van is still in the concept stage, according to the CNET report.
