The non-profit group 360 Eats is deploying a food truck to help provide food to those in need in Clearwater, Florida.
The truck is called Sustain-Bowl and takes healthy food being discarded and cooks meals for those living in poverty, according to a ABC Action News report. It's manned by Cameron Macleish and his mother, Ellen, a chef.
"It's really cool to see her translate her skills as a chef to something as rewarding and impactful as this," Macleish told the news outlet. "You give them a choice of a starch, a base, a veg, choice of a protein, choice of a sauce and they get to create their own meal.
"Food trucks are fun, they're exciting, and that's exactly what we want people to feel when they receive these meals."
The effort is funded by a $40,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay.
