Ohio city considers food truck regulations

April 9, 2018

The Columbiana, Ohio, city council held its first reading on food truck regulations following two years of discussion, according to the Morning Journal. The proposed law seeks to address matters relating to licensing and inspections, location and penalties.

The legislation requires a nonrefundable charge for operating a food truck for a single day, six months or one year, with fees set at $25, $300 and $500, respectively.

A nonrefundable surcharge of 10 percent will be added to cover the cost of the removal of additional trash.

Licensing fees can be waived for special events and for charitable and nonprofit organizations, upon request for a waiver.
