Four friends in Dayton, Ohio are behind one of the latest food trucks in the city, according to a Dayton.com report.

The truck is called Kore 4 Soul Kitchen and it held a soft opening this month letting foodies try its ribs, chicken, fresh fish, macaroni and cheese as well as egg rolls.

The ownership team includes Vernon and Sunna Bass and Jamel and Nettie Carter-Smith. The group is already known in the local community for their non-profit group Bass Smith Connection.

The group hopes the food truck venture will also help promote its nonprofit efforts to provide scholarships.

"Financial support is one of the biggest parts of kids finishing college," Vernon Bass told the news outlet. "We try to get kids the motivation to go to college and provide the assistance to help them stay in college."
