The growth of food trucks in Deschutes County, Oregon, has caused the county to add more health officials and is calling for a 12 percent fee increase to cover the added costs, according to KTVZ-TV.
Officials said the number of food trucks in the county has nearly doubled in five years, from 107 in 2014 to 210 at present. In the last year, the number of proposed food trucks increased by 79 percent.
The number of food truck pods, meanwhile, increased from one in 2013 to 12 at the present time.
