Bend, Oregon's community development department has approved plans for a taphouse and five food trucks on a half-acre lot at 787 NE Purcell Blvd., according to The Bulletin. This marks the second food truck lot to be approved by the city.
Jessica Swartz and Paul Shorey plan to break ground in early April on River's Place, according to the report. The couple has leased the land, which is northwest of the Purcell entrance to Costco, Swartz said.
Access to River's Place will be from a private drive running west and south from Purcell, according to a site plan. The taphouse entrance will face west and overlook outdoor seating and an open lawn, with parking along the private drive.
Last fall, planners approved a similar business, On Tap, at 1424 NE Cushing Drive, near St. Charles Bend. That plan calls for a taphouse and six spaces for food trucks, and is already under construction.
