The Orlando city council has voted to support a plan to restrict food trucks in the Conway neighborhood due to a fatal double shooting earlier his year, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The council will hold a final vote on the plan on July 9.
Residents asked the council to make changes to prevent loitering, noise and late-night traffic. The change restricts certain land uses on parts of Conway Road and Hoffner Avenue.
The shooting occurred outside the 407 Smoke Shop where the Piñones en Orlando-Guaguita food truck was parked. The food truck operated late at night and early in the morning.
