Ottawa seeks food trucks for spring/summer season

The city of Ottawa, Canada, is asking food trucks and food carts to apply for one of 22 spots available in the 2019 spring and summer season, according to the Ottawa Citizen. There are 12 spaces available for food trucks and 10 for food carts. The application deadline is 4:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4. 

A volunteer panel consisting of representatives from Ottawa Public Health and the food industry will award the spaces based on proposed menus, business plans, experience and contribution to Ottawa's food scene.

The city will hold an information session for applicants on Dec. 10, at Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Dr.
