The Pawtucket, Rhode Island city council has decided to reconsider its decision to maintain food truck fees for the Pawtucket Arts Festival, according to The Valley Breeze. The council chose to reconsider after members learned the festival already charges food truck operators a fee of $175 a day or $300 for the weekend.
An ordinance passed in 2014 requires food truck operators to purchase either a one-day permit for $50 or yearly permit of $250 to serve food in the city.
John Baxter, festival chairman, said that the fee can be problematic due to the competition the festival faces.
