April 5, 2019

The Monroe County, Pennsylvania district attorney's office has sued a food truck supplier, Crown Food Carts, Inc., and Robert W. Scifo, for allegedly failing to deliver products to customers, according to WFMZ-TV.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro said Thursday his office filed a lawsuit against the company and against Scifo.

The lawsuit clams the defendants entered into contracts to sell food trucks, carts, trailers and related equipment and supplies through its website, www.crownfoodcarts.com.

The company failed to deliver the products and/or delivered incorrect products following substantial delays, the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit requests that the court order the defendants to:

  • Pay restitution to all parties that have suffered losses as a result of the defendants' alleged conduct.
  • Be enjoined permanently from selling goods or services in Pennsylvania or to Pennsylvania businesses and residents.
  • Pay $1,000 in civil penalties for every violation of the consumer protection law and $3,000 for every violation involving a consumer 60 years old or older.
