Food truck operators and Drexel University students are voicing opposition to a proposed food truck ban on a section on Market Street which the university supports, according to a cbslocal.com report.
A university spokesperson said the legislation the city council has introduced would not prohibit vending at the university but is intended to improve public safety and related traffic conditions on Market Street.
Close to 500 people have signed a petition against the ban, which is scheduled for a city council vote Thursday.
