Philadelphia seeks RFPs from food trucks for summer park series

The City of Philadelphia has issued a request for proposals to procure food trucks for the "Lunch in Love" program at Love Park, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The program begins May 30 and will expand by early August.

Key evaluation points include:

• A menu with diverse choices, including healthy options.
• Sustainable products and unique offerings.
• Affordable prices.
• Disabled, minority and woman ownership.
• Locally based or local-impact certified.

A mandatory applicants meeting and tour of Love Park will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 14. Truck owners who cannot attend in person may send a representative. Truck owners must sign up with the city's PHLContracts to be eligible to respond, officials said.
