Portland's top 5 food trucks cater to global tastes

Being a coastal city, it's no surprise that Portland caters to palates from all over the globe. So it's also no surprise that its five top rated food trucks represent a global menu, as ranked by Hoodline, according to a report by MSN. Hoodline bases its rankings on Yelp reviews and is own "secret sauce."

Straits Kitchen at 1112 S.E. Tacoma St. in the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood, featuring Malaysian fare, grabbed top honors with five stars out of 78 Yelp reviews.

PDX Sliders, also in Sellwood-Moreland at 1605 S.E. Bybee Blvd., specializing in sandwiches, burgers and more, grabbed runner up honors with 4.5 stars out of 718 Yelp reviews.

Caspian Kabob, located at 4237 N. Mississippi Ave. between Southwest Alder and 10th Avenue, featuring Persian/Iranian fare, came in third place with five stars out of 186 Yelp reviews.

MF Tasty, featuring Spanish and Mexican cuisine at 3927 N. Williams Ave. came in fourth place with five stars out of 155 Yelp reviews. 

The French Toast Connection, a downtown favorite specializing in breakfasts and French meals, came in fifth with five stars out of 119 Yelp reviews.
