Procurant intros blockchain platform for fresh food supply chain

Procurant, a software solutions provider for the food industry, has introduced Procurant One, a cloud-based platform that uses blockchain, IoT and mobile tracking to manage the global fresh food supply chain. Foodservice stakeholders can use the platform to trace, contract and buy perishable goods, according to a press release.

The platform offers forecasting, aggregation and allocation on demand, as well as inventory tracking and pricing tools to help negotiate better deals with partners. Other features include:

• Mobile supply chain apps with alerts.
• Integration with ERP and other business software solutions.
• Ability to discover and manage trading partners.
• Delivery status tracking and load planning.
